RIDEA Code of Conduct for the Committee and Festival

RIDEA is committed to making the RI beer industry a safer, more diverse, and more equitable space for people of all backgrounds.

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of employees, customers, or vendors in any form.

If a brewery, vendor, volunteer, committee member, or festival attendee does anything deemed inappropriate or misaligned with our values, that person will not be allowed to participate in the festival or collaboration brew. If the incident happens at the festival, the person in question will be asked to leave.

That being said, we believe in restorative justice and are willing to work with this person and/or organization to correct their behavior. We offer group sessions with a group of industry professionals to help individuals and/or organizations recognize their problematic behavior, to understand its impact, and prevent further damage within the community.

We are incredibly grateful for the work Brave Noise has done to make the beer industry a safer and more equitable space. Here are some examples of problematic behavior as outlined their handbook:
